Covid-19 Status Update

The Daufuskie Island Marathon is scheduled for January 16, 2021.

The race is limited in size to 300 runners.  

Due to the continuing changes brought forth by Covid-19 there may be some alterations in the race logistics.

We may implement different wave starts.  

All in attendance will be expected to wear masks indoors and, on the ferry ride.  

Runners will not be required to wear face masks while racing but after you have finished your race please maintain a distance of at least six feet from others until your breathing becomes normal.

Runners will be advised to carry their own hydration but hydration will still be available to runners on the courses designated areas.  Mask-donned volunteers will hand out water and other fluids to runners at all water stations.  .

As runners and spectators wait in line for food, beverages, bib/swag and, bag drops please abide by CDC rules of six feet apart.

We ask that you exercise patience if these measures are taken as these measures are to ensure your well being and, ours..

If conditions with the novel coronavirus worsen by year's end, and, the race has to be canceled, we will roll over runners registered for the 2021 race to the 2022 race date.

We are not offering race refunds unless a runner tests positive to covid-19 within a month of the race date.  The runner will have to show proof of the virus positive test result for a full refund (minus ferry fee if ferry fee is purchased with race registration).  The ferry fee is $35 per person and is non-negotiable/non-refundable.   

Other than the conditions stated above there will be no refunds for the race.
