If you don’t know Sherry yet, you will. She’s the spunky definition of “80 years young” and brings the best kind of energy to every race weekend. A Savannah, Georgia native, Sherry has been married for 53 years, raised three children, and now proudly enjoys life as “Mimi” to seven grandchildren, along with Thor and her beloved grand-dogs.

Sherry’s favorite distance is the half marathon, and she’s also a board member of the Savannah Striders. She’s a true community builder, known for rallying runners together and making a lasting positive impact through coaching, volunteering, and sharing her experiences.

Her passion extends far beyond the finish line. Sherry is a dedicated advocate for youth and community service organizations including Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Girls on the Run, Relay for Life, The Fresh Air Home, and Tunnels to Towers. When you see her on race morning, be sure to give her a cheer, you’ll be inspired.
